Trio Bohémo

Trio Bohémo was founded in 2019. Despite all members being from the Czech Republic, they met in Budapest, Hungary and shortly after decided to form a piano trio together.

Within months of their establishment, they were awarded second prize at the prestigious Gianni Bergamo Award in Lugano, Switzerland. Following this success, the trio was selected to join the Le Dimore del Quartetto network, which later awarded them Ensemble of the Year in 2021.

For the 2022/23 season, the trio was selected for the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme. Other highlights included recitals at the Wigmore Hall (London), Stoller Hall (Manchester), Solti Hall (Budapest) and appearances at festivals such as Classix Festival (Romania) and Shaldon Festival (UK). Trio Bohémo continued to achieve successes on the competition circuit, winning the top prize at the International Joseph Joachim Competition in Weimar.

Trio Bohémo have performed at numerous festivals such as the Prague Spring, CZ, Schwarzwald Musikfestival, DE and in Gent at the Festival van Vlaanderen, BE. In 2023 they received first prize at the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna and third prize and the audience prize at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition. Trio Bohémo was also selected to receive the prestigious prize of the Czech Chamber Music Society.

Trio Bohémo was member of the European Chamber Music Academy from 2020-2022 and studied under the direction of Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt and Avedis Kouyoumdjian.
